Job Description:
Receive training on the Crisis Line and cover phones during the day.
Utilize co-operative support/assistance of the Volunteer Services Coordinator: plan, organize and deliver public education and awareness campaigns, including special projects.
Promote CKSACC education and prevention opportunities for the community of Chatham-Kent (e.g., reach out to school boards and local organizations).
Prepare and deliver presentations and/or education programs as requested with CKSACC staff.
Be an active participant in community committees (e.g., Suicide Prevention & Education Committee of Chatham-Kent (SPECC-K)).
In conjunction with the Volunteer Services Coordinator, participate in and assist with the delivery of Volunteer Orientation and Training.
Work on collection of stats regarding Sexual Violence and other matters related to Sexual Violence/Harassment/Abuse. Create display board materials for subjects related to Sexual Violence. Create relevant posts for social media to increase engagement.
Other tasks at the request of the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Must be 16 to 30 years of age and registered in school/returning to school in September.
Must be able to work independently with reliable transportation.
Preferably have a background in Women & Gender Studies or lived experience.
